I’m back after taking a couple of weeks off from posting on Tuesdays. How is everybody doing this Tuesday? I hope you are doing well.

Things have been just a little bit crazy for me – well a whole lot crazy actually – LOL! Between working full time, helping with decorations for my niece’s baby shower, taking my granddaughters to swim class everyday, working on Sunday school classroom décor for new curriculum, studying for next year’s curriculum, vlogging, tutorials, crafting . . . . I think I might run out of room here if I keep going.

My tips for you this week are about learning how to deal with the craziness of life, the daily grind, trying to keep things in order when everything around you feels like it’s about to explode.

Tip #1 – Learn to prioritize things. This can be a huge struggle because sometimes we want to make a list and prioritize everything we need to do but we just don’t know where to begin or what exactly should be first because we think everything needs to be first. So we don’t bother with it. Then everything that needs to get done piles up and we feel like things are closing in on us and we are about to explode.

Sometimes making those priorities means that something will have to be put further down on the list or maybe not even make the list. When I saw that things were getting just a big overwhelming. I had to take a step back and take a break from a few things.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

Our first priority should always be Jesus Christ. Only in Him can we find true rest.

We can’t navigate this path we are on unless we let Jesus be LORD of our life. When the things of life take priority over Jesus, everything can become cloudy and we lose direction and focus. Jesus should always be our first priority.

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Tip #2 – Stick to it. Many times we have great intentions. We try and get organized, make our lists, put Jesus as first priority on those lists, but then next week rolls around and something comes up and it throws a wrench in everything. Some days you may feel like you don’t have a minute to spare, believe me I understand completely, but we always need to learn to make time (priorities) and stick to it.

I have found that, no matter how busy a day can get for me, when I am in God’s Word everything always falls into place and the yoke is light. The sky is clear and the path ahead is manageable.

Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.

Philippians 3:12-16
