Thou hast put me in this world for something, Lord

Welcome to my first blog post. My name is Jo Ann Vazquez and to those who know me, know it is only fitting that I share a quote from Charles Spurgeon.

Thou hast put me in this world for something, Lord; show me what that is, and help me to work out my life-purpose: I cannot do much, but as the widow put in her two mites, which were all her living, so, Lord, I cast my time and eternity too into thy treasury; I am all thine; take me, and enable me to glorify thee now, in all that I say, in all that I do, and with all that I have. – Charles Spurgeon

We always have this pondering in our hearts, “what exactly am I supposed to be doing Lord? What is my purpose?” There are many books out there that make an attempt at telling you what your purpose is. None of them though can guide you onto the right path like reading the Bible and having Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

For some time now, I wanted to start a blog but it just never felt like the right time. Looking back, I realize that I was not ready for it. God’s timing is always perfect. So here I am. Nervous, like a shy school girl going into a new classroom for the first time. When I’m weak, then I’m strong.

This takes me back to this quote by Charles Spurgeon. Whatever I do, be it doing crafts, DIY projects, home decor, etc., my prayer is that I glorify God in all that I do. That is my purpose in this world.
